Lead Data Engineer

We are Denmark’s largest digital tax universe with almost 800,000 users! We are searching for a Lead Data Engineer to develop and take the responsibility for our future modern data platform and data infrastructure to utilize data at scale as the key link between Tech and Data in Skatteguiden.

Since we have a flat structure and a tech/data-first mindset, there is a lot of opportunity to influence technology selection, process development, etc. You will be part of our Data team of 2 full time AI Data Scientists and 2 Data Student Workers. You will reference to our CDO, who has the responsibility for our Data, AI, and Finance agenda.

 

What do we expect?

You will have the main responsibility for developing and implementing the future data infrastructure and data platform at Skatteguiden to ensure we have a robust and scalable setup for ingesting and processing data from all services and external sources. Hereunder managing the CI/CD and orchestration tools. Curiosity and the willingness to become the best within you field as well as a drive to acquiring and sharing new knowledge is a must.

In addition to these qualities (but not a must), it would also be an advantage if you:

Have a background in Tech as an Engineer with some experience around data platforming or experience as a Data Engineer.

  • Programming & Scripting Languages: Python (Pandas, NumPy), Java, or similar
  • Cloud Databases & Data Warehousing: SQL, dbt, and data cloud solution such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar
  • Data Ingestion Tools: Experience with data ingestion from various sources, or tools as Fivetran, dltHub, or similar
  • Version Control & CI/CD: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar
